1913: Yashwantrao Chavan, an Indian politician. He served as the last Chief Minister of Bombay State and the first of Maharashtra.

1917: Googie Withers, Indian-Australian actress (d. 2011)

1954: Anish Kapoor, Indian-English sculptor

1964: Falguni Pathak, an Indian singer.

1984: Shreya Ghoshal, an Indian playback singer.
