UPSC Recruitment 2021: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an official notification inviting all the interested and eligible candidates for Assistant Director, Agricultural Engineer and Assistant Geologist posts. Eligibility criteria:
Assistant Director (Plant Pathology):
MSc degree in Plant Pathology or MSc degree in Agriculture with specialization in Plant Pathology or MSc degree in Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology from a recognised university or institution.
Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC in the case of the candidates otherwise well qualified.
Experience: Three years’ practical experience in the field of study of domestic and or foreign plant diseases related to plant virus and plant bacteria.
Agricultural Engineer (Instrumentation):
Degree in Electronics Engineering or Instrumentation Technology from a recognized university or institute.
Experience: Two years’ experience in the installation, calibration and maintenance of electronics and electrical instruments for automatic measurement and controls, experience of handling strain gauge, sound and vibration equipment etc. from any government or private (listed) organisation.
Note 1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Assistant Geologist:
Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Geo-exploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Geo-chemistry or Marine Geology or Earth Science & Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Area Studies (Coastal Geology) or Environmental Geology or Geo-informatics from a recognised university or institution.
Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC in the case of the candidates otherwise well qualified.
Pay scale for UPSC Recruitment 2021
Assistant Director (Plant Pathology): As per 7th CPC- Level-10 (Rs 56100 – 177500) in the Pay Matrix Pre-revised Rs 15,600-39,100 (PB-3) plus Rs 5400 (Grade Pay). (Total emoluments excluding TA & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs 56100 plus DA as applicable per month and as per DoPT guidelines.)
Agricultural Engineer (Instrumentation): Level 7 in the pay matrix (Rs 44900-142400)
Assistant Geologist: As per 7th CPC- Level-8 (Rs 47600-151100) in the Pay Matrix Pre-revised Rs 9,300-34,800 (PB-2) plus Rs 4800 (Grade Pay). (Total emoluments excluding TA & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs 47,600 plus DA as applicable per month approximately.)
