1999: South Africa’s first black president, Nobel laureate Nelson Mandela, ended his term.

2020: Indian actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide.

1952: Kirron Anupam Kher, an Indian theatre, film, and television actress.

1967: Kumar Mangalam Birla, an Indian billionaire industrialist.

1968: RajThackeray, an Indian politician and chairperson of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), the regional political party.

1969: Steffi Graf, German tennis player

1971: Pritam Chakraborty, an Indian composer.
